The 2026 Western Province club rugby presidents cup came to a close at City Park on 19 September, with six finals deciding the President’s Cup and President’s Shield Cup titles across Super Leagues A, B and C. Super League A provided the day’s extra-time drama, with both finals tied at 22–22 at full-time.
In the Super League A President’s Cup final, Villagers and Hamiltons remained level after extra time. Villagers were awarded the title because they had finished higher on the league log. They had reached the final with a 21–15 semi-final win over Helderberg.
CPUT won the Super League B President’s Cup with a 31–16 victory over Kraaifontein. They had beaten Connect-NTK 31–15 in the semi-finals. In Super League C, Kylemore secured the President’s Cup with a 29–26 win over Pniel Villagers. Kylemore had edged Rangers 30–27 in the semi-finals, while Pniel Villagers advanced with a 32–17 win over Delft United.
Kuilsriver claimed the Super League A President’s Shield Cup after their final against Brackenfell was tied 22–22 at full-time. Kuilsriver went on to record a 41–22 victory. In Super League B, All Saints won the President’s Shield Cup with a 22–17 victory over Vineyards, while Raithby Universals took the Super League C title with a 22–12 win over Langa.
The six finals brought the 2026 WP Club Rugby campaign to an end, with both Super League A finals requiring extra time.
