The Western Province club rugby scene is set to explode with excitement today, 25th March 2023, as club rugby fixtures take place across the province. Fans from all over are eagerly anticipating this final opportunity for players to sharpen their skills before the season officially kicks off on 1st April 2023.
Two of the biggest games of the day are the local derbies between Hands and Hearts and Scottsdene, and Hamiltons and Villagers. Scottsdene’s ground is expected to be packed with fans, eager to see two fierce rivals go head to head in what promises to be a thrilling match. Meanwhile, Hamiltons and Villagers will be battling it out in one of South Africa’s oldest rugby derbies. Both teams have a rich history and passionate supporters, making for a charged atmosphere and a game that’s sure to deliver.
In addition to these two big derbies, there are several other exciting games taking place across the province. The False Bay Ladies team is set to play the visiting Brazilian club, Melina, in what promises to be an entertaining match showcasing the talents of female rugby players.

Maties and Durbell will also be facing off in another highly anticipated game. Both teams will be eager to make a strong impression ahead of the start of the season. Van der Stel and Stellenbosch Coronations will also be competing in a must-see game, adding to the day’s excitement.
