The draw for the 2017 WP Club Rugby Score 7’s takes place this evening at the Tsogo Sun in Newlands.
44 teams will be participating in this six week event which will once again be held at the Goodwood Rugby Club. 

The draw commences at 18h30 tonight, WPRFU EXCO members will also be in attendance.

The President’s Cup Finals brought the house down in front of a packed City Park on Monday 25th September.

A total of six finals were played on the day as clubs vied for the final piece of silverware of the WP Club Rugby season.

Congratulations to Hamlets and Maties who maintained their titles, as well as to Vineyards who secured a historic double after beating Scottsdene in the SLC final.

Congratulations to the Hamlets fans who were awarded Fans of the Day for their boisterous support!

This weekend is the final of the Paarl knockout tournament that will be contested by Riverstones and Paarl Rangers after both clubs won their respective semifinal matches this past Saturday.

Paarl Rangers shocked Simondium 37 - 30 while Paarl Rangers had it far from easy against Young Gardens, eventually edging out their rivals 29 - 24 in a highly entertaining contest.

Because of the test on Saturday between the Springboks and Australia, the games in the Paarl knockout tournament will start half an hour earlier.

On Saturday the promotion/relegation fixtures will take place at City Park. The action commences at 14h00 with the SLB/SLC playoff between Bellville and Scottsdene before the SLA/SLB playoff between NTK and Helderberg.

The action at City Park on Saturday will kick off with the DHL WP U19 team taking on Eastern Province U19 kicking off at 10h30 followed by the DHL WP U21 clash with their Eastern Province counterparts at 12h00.

The gates to City Park on Saturday will open at 09h00 with an entry fee of R10 per person and R20 per car.

This weekend will also see the last round of the Promotion League fixtures taking place that will determine the 3 teams to be promoted to SLC for 2018.

Caledonian Roses will host log leaders Manenberg Rangers at Noll Ave, Northerns host Young Wesleys at Avonwood and Blue Stars United will host Blue Jets at Klapmuts.
