In Super League B, Rangers defeated Franschhoek United 31 – 24 in one of the games of the round. The pendulum swung back and forth at Surrey Estate but ultimately it was the hosts who edged the battle.

Elsewhere, Villager beat Young Peoples 38 – 24, Bellville thumped Collegians 55 – 24, while Hamlets edged out Paarl 40 – 34 in another club rugby cracker.

In City League action, Young Ideas beat Progress 30 – 21, Manenburg Rangers defeated Caledonian Roses 31 – 7, and Temp/Cities went down to Tech/Tuine 17 – 39.

In the Northern League, Strand Pioneers went down 12 – 52 to Whistling Wheels while Blakes lost 19 – 41 to Blue Stars United in Cloetesville.

Southern League action saw Peninsula beat Titans 19 – 14, Noordelikes defeated Bishop Lavis 39 – 13, while Young Wesleys beat Atlantis 26 – 14.

Over in the Paarl region, Violets and Riverstones played out to a 24 – 24 draw, Albions went down 10 – 41 at home to Allandale,
Simondium thumped Young Gardens 67 – 27, while Lower Paarl demolished Windmeal United 81 – 14.
